MISSOURI WEATHER IS SO UNPREDICTABLE - BE PREPARED
Take Flood Preparedness Seriously
Flooding is the #1 natural disaster in the United States. Wherever it rains, it can flood. Are you properly insured for a flood? Most insurance policies will NOT cover damage due to flooding, and most new flood insurance policies require up to thirty days to take effect.

IT IS CRAZY HOT OUTSIDE
Missouri Summer Weather is Hard To Predict
Weather.com Defines the Heat Equation as:High temperature + High humidity + Physical work = Heat Illness

Summer means vacation, outdoor activities, and fun in the sun! It's a time when families hit the road to visit national parks or distant relatives. The warm months and long days mean that there is plenty of time for baseball games and barbecues. The sultry temperatures practically invite you to take a dip in the pool or ocean. Just be safe, don't let the sunny days and warm nights fool you. Severe heat can cause serious health issues at any age.

TIP OF THE DAY
Missouri Department of Insurance reminds residents if they have a claim:

• Contact your insurance company's claims department, as soon as possible.
• Take photos, if possible, at the time of the loss. Photos are always helpful.
• Make temporary repairs to prevent further damage. For example, a hole in the roof should be covered by a tarp or other materials to keep out rain and animals. Same goes for a broken window.
• Keep the receipts for items you have to purchase. Do not make permanent repairs until the insurance adjuster has inspected the damage.

Your Claims Adjuster and Lakenan agent will be able to guide you through the process.
